Aside from being known as one of the NFL’s fiercest and greatest defensive players, even Myles Garrett enjoys some time playing video games.
Garrett posted a photo of him on his Instagram, standing proudly next to his new PC setup, which is estimated to have cost him $10,000.
The new setup features a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, Infinity RTX 5080 GPU, X870 AORUS Infinity Motherboard, 48GB Patriot Viper DDR5 RAM, Dark Power Pro 14 PSU, Alphacool Monsta 540mm + 280mm Radiator, three 180mm HAVN Fans, and an AORUS Tandem OLED monitor.
According to Liquidhaus, Garrett challenged them with “creating an artistic interpretation of what a Mecha Godzilla PC would be.”
“After spending some quality time with Myles, we learned that he might actually be the coolest person we’ve ever met. We were so incredibly honored to have the opportunity to build him a PC that he thoroughly enjoys, and we can’t wait to see him finally on the field again! A massive thank you to our sponsors for making this all a reality. Stay tuned for our upcoming YouTube video on this coming soon! 🤙🏻,” Liquidhaus wrote in the post’s caption.
Despite investing a pretty penny in his setup, the Rams superstar edge rusher’s new setup caught the attention of football fans on X as he was being trolled in the comments for his setup.
@jalonjakab wrote, “Ain’t no way you got that desktop without 3 monitors lol.
Garrett was called a poser by @willb328 when he wrote, “No LEDs on the desk + no bucket under the seat? Poser.”
While the two fans were obviously joking with him, @tonyp91_ wrote: “yo get on the field bruh we need you 😂.”
The good thing for that fan is that Rams coach Sean McVay announced on Friday that Garrett will suit up in Sunday’s game against the Commanders.
Not only is it the first time Garrett will be on the field since the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the 49ers, it’s also the first time he will play lined up with Aaron Donald.
Washington’s offensive line is considered to be on the lower end of productivity when compared with the rest of the league, as they have given up 16 sacks this season.
The Commanders’ offensive line will be without top free-agent acquisition Laremy Tunsil, who tore his triceps during training camp. The Commanders are expected to have Sam Cosmi (knee injury) and Josh Conerly Jr. (finger injury) suited up but playing hurt.
Garrett’s return to the gridiron is set for 10 a.m. PT on Sunday.
