Just under six months into the Rangers’ retool, the team’s roster and prospect pool have undergone notable reconstructions. The organization has facilitated a series of repairs that have not only altered the characteristics of the lineup, but the pipeline that will feed it moving forward.

Though the process is just beginning, it has required a proactive mindset in identifying who does and does not fit in the long-term plans.

It’s taken a commitment to redesigning what is already in place and recognizing where to cut their losses.

The Rangers have had to be aggressive in their reassessment in order to reverse course on the team’s direction over the past couple of seasons. A heap of decisions and significant moves have been made since Drury penned a letter to the fans on Jan. 16 assuring that he will “not stand pat.”
