St. Thomas University Global is rolling out a $0 May Term for 2026, providing eligible students with a cost-free opportunity to begin or continue their undergraduate studies online.
Starting on 2 May 2026, the term will include full coverage of one course, encompassing tuition, fees, textbooks, and all necessary materials. Participants will not incur any hidden charges or financial responsibilities.
At a time when many adults have yet to complete their degrees, universities are adopting more adaptable and low-risk entry points to support learners in returning to education.
“For many students, the biggest barrier is not ability or motivation, it is the uncertainty around cost,” said Clyde Lewis, Ed.D., Associate Vice President for Financial Aid and Student Services. “This gives students a clear, immediate way to begin without delay and without having to navigate a complex financial decision first.”
The offer is available to new, returning, and re-engaged students who meet standard admission criteria. Given the condensed nature of the term, it does not qualify for federal financial aid, but students can still complete the course without paying out of pocket.
“Higher education often asks students to make a financial commitment before they fully understand the experience,” said Diego Britto, Senior Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer. “This approach reverses that dynamic by allowing students to begin with no financial exposure.”
Courses are delivered entirely online in an asynchronous format, catering to working adults and those with non-traditional educational paths. Dedicated success coaches provide guidance throughout the student journey.
The STU Global portfolio includes bachelor’s degrees in Business Management, Finance, Marketing Management, Sports Administration, Organisational Leadership, and Catholic Education, all designed to reflect workforce trends and uphold values of service and leadership.
