The Song Sung Blue premiere in the Big Apple was a family affair as Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell shined on the red carpet as they supported daughter Kate Hudson.
Hudson, 46, was joined by mom Hawn, 80, and Hawn’s longtime partner, Russell, 74, at the New York City event honoring her musical film. Hudson looked stunning in a chartreuse Valentino gown with a satin belted waist and a rose-colored cape. She wore her hair slicked back, showing off her matching green earrings and neutral makeup look.
Hawn looked equally as gorgeous in a black beaded ensemble with a sheer neckline and silver detailing. Russell opted for a black suit with a rose-colored tie. Hudson’s fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, also attended the premiere, posing for photos with the actress in a classic black suit.
It’s been a milestone couple of months for the blended family, as they all recently gathered to celebrate Hawn’s 80th birthday on November 21.
“🎂Birthday Love🎂To distill half of her life that I’ve known into a single caption feels impossible,” Hudson wrote in a tribute to her mom via Instagram on the big day. “I have been the lucky recipient of novels of love and wisdom from her. She is truly extraordinary and as I celebrate her everyday, today we all get to share in it! Please join me in wishing a huge Happy Birthday to this 80 year old queen goddess! We love you Mama 🪷.”
Hawn, Russell and Hudson also greeted Hudson’s costar Hugh Jackman on the red carpet, snapping photos with the Greatest Showman actor with hard-to-miss smiles on their faces. Jackman, 57, attended the premiere with girlfriend Sutton Foster, who donned a navy blue mini dress with silver embellishments.
Jackman previously praised Hudson’s work on the film, predicting that she’ll come away a winner during awards season.
“Kate Hudson is not only one of the great stars of our business, she is a consummate actor,” Jackman said while accepting the inaugural Musical Tribute with Hudson at 2025 Gotham Awards on December 1. “I believe this time she is going to get an Oscar.”
Song Sung Blue has been one of the buzziest films of the year, with Jackman and Hudson portraying real-life husband and wife duo Mike and Claire Sardina, who performed in a Neil Diamond tribute band. Hudson addressed the chatter about her potentially scoring an Oscar nomination for the role months prior to the NYC premiere.
“You never know with these things. I’ve been around now long enough to know just to enjoy that people are really loving the movie,” she said at the Academy and Chanel Women’s Luncheon in October, per People. “And just, you know, show up to where they tell me to go.”
Hudson has already received a 2026 Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Song Sung Blue.
“OMG! Thank you @goldenglobes an absolute thrill to be nominated for our film @songsungbluefilm. Huge congrats to all the incredible nominees this year ❤️ I am so grateful ✨,” she captioned a Monday, December 8, post via Instagram reacting to the honor. “This story of Lightning and Thunder is so moving and inspiring. Playing Claire has been one of the great privileges of my career. This film hits such a sweet spot of cinema, the kind that reminds you how movies can inspire your own world and that we are the authors of our own stories. A reminder to hold onto hope and the people we love who carry us through the hardest times. A pure pleasure to be a part of this film.”
