Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to be traded before Tuesday’s NBA Draft. The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are the reported favorites to land the forward.
While there have been no details regarding the blockbuster deal, the NBA world has been buzzing with speculation surround the potential return packages for Antetokounmpo.
The recent rumblings have indicated Celtics star Jaylen Brown will be shipped to Milwaukee in exchange for Antetokounmpo as Boston tries to reclaim its stronghold on the Eastern Conference.
Brown seemingly broke his silence on the matter via his Twitch stream as the Celtics are in active negotiations for the Bucks superstar.
“To all the people that’s doubted me, that want me to do this, or want me (traded), you’re turning me into a monster,” Brown said on the stream.
Brown is coming off a 2025-26 season where he averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists. His performance earned him a fourth straight All-Star selection.
The guard’s arrival in Milwaukee would certainly bring fans to the arena, but for Brown, it would mean leaving the only NBA team he’s played for throughout his career and the place where he won his first championship in 2024.
Potential Celtics Return Package in Giannis Trade
A rumored return package from Boston features Brown, Hugo Gonzalez, a No. 27 overall pick and a 2027 first-round pick. The Celtics are reportedly “all-in” on pursuing Antetokounmpo and it appears Brown is aware of the organization’s desire to land the Bucks superstar.
As the Heat have also been named a finalist for Antetokounmpo, reported return packages have surfaced for Miami. One such offer for Antetokounmpo features Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, three first-round picks and draft swaps.
The Bucks could benefit in different ways from a deal with either the Celtics or Heat, but only time will tell which route Milwaukee goes in exchange for the “Greek Freak.”
