Julia Garner and husband Mark Foster have reportedly separated.
The pair have quietly parted ways after more than six years of marriage, according to People. Us Weekly has reached out to Foster and reps for Garner for comment.
Garner, 32, and Foster, 42, were last seen together in October 2025 at an afterparty at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. More recently, the actress was seen on a walk on the 4th of July without her wedding ring.
The now-estranged couple first connected after meeting at Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
“In our first conversation, we realized that my grandmother lived in the same small town that his dad lives in, just outside of Cleveland,” Garner recalled to Vogue in March 2020.
Garner and Foster, lead singer of the band Foster the People, kept running into one another before eventually pursuing a romance. The duo got engaged in 2019 after 10 months of dating.
“Both of us had a few weeks of quiet before I had to leave for Atlanta to start shooting season 3 of Ozark, so we rented an RV and took a road trip up to Montana to get away from the city and just be together,” Garner told Vogue about the proposal. “[One morning] he read me a poem he had written to me, and when he finished, he dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him. It was surreal and beautiful.”
Later that year, Garner and Foster tied the knot in a New York City courthouse ceremony. They celebrated their nuptials with dinner and dancing at the Public Hotel, where Foster surprised Garner with the release of a song titled “Lovers in a Stream.”
“Mark wrote, produced, and sang it. It was very surreal, and the most beautiful present I’ve ever received,” she added at the time. “It felt like I was floating up in the air — it was the most magical moment I’ve ever had. The only people who heard this song were at the wedding, but it will come out soon. It’s a beautiful love song.”
Foster, for his part, was a champion for the actress in the years before their breakup.
“I’m beyond proud of this girl,” Foster wrote via Instagram in 2019 after Garner won an Emmy Award for her role in Ozark. “Congratulations you beautiful angel of a human. It brings me immeasurable joy to see you lifted up and recognized by your peers, your industry, and your fans. … I consider myself the luckiest guy on the planet to be able to watch whatever you do from the front row, with a bag of popcorn and your hand wrapped in mine.”
