Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard looked as smitten as ever at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
The Nobody Wants This star, 44, and the Parenthood alum, 49, walked the red carpet together on Sunday, January 5, before the event at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
Bell wore a shimmery metallic gown for the big night, completing the look with rose gold earrings, cuff bracelet and two rings, all courtesy of Reza.
Shepard finished off his classic suit with a pair of casual Vans black-and-white checkerboard sneakers and black sunglasses.
Bell is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her portrayal of agnostic sex and dating podcaster Joanne on the Netflix romantic comedy Nobody Wants This. The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri, Hacks’ Jean Smart, Agatha All Along’s Kathryn Hahn, Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson and Only Murders in the Building’s Selena Gomez are also competing in the category.
Bell was previously up for the same award in 2019 for her performance on The Good Place, but she ultimately lost to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan.
As for her personal life, Bell has been married to Shepard since October 2013. The couple share daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10.
After Bell and her Nobody Wants This costar Adam Brody made headlines for their impressive chemistry on the series, Shepard expressed his support for the duo.
“Even I can acknowledge watching it, like, ‘Whoa, that’s hot,’” Bell told eTalk in September 2024 of her onscreen PDA with Brody, 45. “My husband said the same thing. Like, watching the first episode he was like, ‘Oh, my God, I want you to kiss him so badly.’”
The following month, Shepard joked about Bell’s fictional connection with Brody.
“We watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I’d argue is the very best kissing scene ever, ever put on film,” he said at the New Yorker Festival in October 2024. “And my best friend, Aaron, from childhood, he goes, ‘Does she ever kiss you like that?’ No, I didn’t even know she could kiss like that.”
Shepard then quipped that his chemistry with Bell is “not as good as her and Brody.”
Bell, for her part, attempted to explain the approach behind her unique bond with Brody, who has been married to Leighton Meester since February 2014 and shares daughter Arlo, 9, and a 4-year-old son (whose name has not been revealed) with the actress, 38.
“I’m not trying to be reductive, but I think there’s a math to it,” Bell told eTalk. “You have two actors that know how to stare dopily into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to expand that and really sit the anticipatory value before the kiss — which I think is really important.”
She added: “Whether or not people want to see you end up with someone is a crapshoot, and we just kind of got lightning in a bottle.”
