Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart’s girlfriend, Marissa Ayers, said she picked up the keys to her new apartment in “the New York area” a year after they first met.
Ayers, who is a model and an influencer, explained in a TikTok video Thursday that she “signed the lease to my first solo apartment” — and she will put off living there to help Dart during his recovery from season-ending knee surgery.
“I’m going to pick up the keys to my very first apartment,” Ayers said. “I’m living alone for the first time. This is crazy… I’ve been planning to move [and] get my own place for well over a year now. I graduated college [at the University of Alabama] in May 2025, and I’ve basically been living out of a suitcase since then. I don’t know how I’ve done it so long. But it was honestly just the era that I was in.”
Ayers didn’t say when she’s officially moving, but shared that it won’t be happening this month.
“I’m kind of just going to slowly start furnishing it and hop over there and do some things each day,” she said. “I’m really going to be with Jax a lot because with his injury he had surgery this month, and he really needs that extra helping hand. So I want to be there for him and I want to take care of him. And that’s just something I feel in my heart. We take care of each other, and that’s just what we do.”
The former ring girl explained that she decided she wanted to move last December, two months after she met Dart, and instead traveled to California and Hawaii with the quarterback during the NFL offseason.
“He basically goes to California in the offseason to train, so from Feb to April I was in California with him. I was just bopping around here and there. I mean y’all would do it too. It was a new relationship,” she said.
“We just wanted to do everything together and I had the flexibility to do so because I work from my phone… This past spring and summer were some of the best months of my life. He’s literally my best friend. So I was just living. And apartment was just out of my mind.. I wanted to be really present and say yes to everything. It was so fun.
“I just knew there would be a time, a moment where things were going to calm down, and here we are, so it’s perfect… I’m excited to finally get settled and have my own place and just to have a little bit of grounding.”
Dart and Ayers confirmed their relationship on social media in January following months of speculation.
They made their first red carpet appearance together at the NFL Honors ceremony in February.
Dart underwent surgery to repair damage to his meniscus and medial collateral ligament on Sept. 25, four days after he was injured in the first quarter of a 28-6 loss to the Rams.
The Giants (3-1) visit the Commanders (1-3) on Sunday.
