The Mets didn’t wait and see before postponing Saturday’s game.
With rain already coming down and more in the forecast, the Mets announced their game against the Rockies had been moved to Sunday as part of a single-admission doubleheader.
Per the team, gates will open at 12:10 p.m. Sunday with parking lots open at 11:40 a.m. ET.
Game 2 will start “30-45 minutes following the conclusion of Game 1.”
The Mets, whose two-game winning streak ended Friday against Colorado in the series opener, do not have a getaway day Sunday, with the Nationals coming into town next.
Colorado goes to Cincinnati next, but does not start its series there until Tuesday.
There’s more rain expected Sunday, but the forecast calls for sun in the afternoon.
