When it comes to online shopping fails, we’ve seen so many. But one recent fail, via the international website Shein, really caught us by (cough) surprise.
A mom recently got the shock of her life when she opened up a package of an item she purchased for her young son.
OMG that’s a different sort of snake!
It was a prank can of peanuts, which are typically sold in the prank or magic sections of toy stores. What usually pops out is a giant snake of some sort.
Well, they got the ‘snake’ part right. Except this time it was one of a slightly different kind.
“Omg I bought this prank toy for my 7-year-old son, didn’t realise until it came today that it has a d&@k on it,” she shared in the Shein Lovers Australia Facebook group.
Lucky for the mom, the child was not exposed to the ‘accidentally’ X-rated toy.
“Good thing I opened it first before just gifting it to him! Omg lol it’s one of those cans that you open and a snake or worm pops out, never seen one of these pop out haha,” she added.
A very merry Christmas, indeed!
As expected, the Aussie mom wasn’t the only one who got the shock of her life.
Almost 500 people hit the comments section – and surprisingly many of them wanted the link so they could purchase the same item!
“Omg I have to buy these for my friends,” one person commented.
“Omg I can’t stop laughing,” another added.
The online shopping fail sure made many people’s day!
“Omg I’ve been having the shittest couple of weeks and I have found it so hard to even smile and this made me crack up laughing! Thanks for posting,” said one.
Another person agreed that the mom was lucky to have found the fail before her young son did, saying: “I can imagine him taking it to school for show and tell … so lucky you checked it first.”
And others kept the prank going with their own crass jokes.
“‘Surprise snake’ they weren’t kidding,” one giggled.
“False advertising. They forgot the nuts!!” another joked.
Shopper’s horrifying find in her Shein package
It’s not the first time Kidspot has reported on an unfortunate error in a Shein order.
Back in September this year, a shopper was left horrified after opening up her latest order and discovering some creepy critters inside.
In a TikTok clip, she revealed that she found three live worms after ripping open the bags sent by the online retailer.
“I could throw up right now,” she wrote over footage of the creepy crawlies, which are around 5cm long, wriggling around on a plate.
In the comments section, she said she “screamed so loud” and she “swears it’s real, I can’t make it up.”
She also vowed to never order from the website again.
Maybe if it was one GIANT worm things might’ve been, erm, different?
