Her love life hinges on this dating app hack.
A content creator known only as Iman has revealed a “Hinge hack” that “cheats the algorithm” to show eligible singles the most attractive bachelors in their area.
In a TikTok video with more than 2 million views, Iman revealed her trick to seeing the “best pick of the bunch” on the popular dating app.
“Basically what you do is you go to your settings, and you scroll all the way down to delete or pause account. You click on that,” she explained.
“A pop-up will come up and it will say, ‘Why are you leaving Hinge?’”
She instructed viewers to choose the option that says, “I am not happy with my Hinge experience.” Then, the app will prompt the user to stay on the app and offer a “fresh start,” promising to refresh the user’s feed.
After pressing “try it,” the user’s Hinge algorithm should be reset and “the type of people you’ll get shown are completely different,” Iman said,
Her choices were even “better,” Iman claimed.
“It’s like a different Hinge,” she added.
Viewers championed the creator for her dating app trick, rushing to their settings to try out the cheat.
“It’s insane, works so well!!!!” exclaimed one thrilled user in the TikTok comments.
“Just did this and it was swipe right after right after right,” another agreed.
But not everyone was satisfied with their options, claiming they saw more of the same people even after the algorithm reset.
“The first 10-20 are better but after that you’re just repeating all the people you swiped left on already,” complained one person.
“I did it not sure if I see improvement,” quipped someone else. “But that probably has more to do with the fish in the sea here.”
Then, of course, there’s the issue of compatibility.
“But I like them but they don’t like me back,” one person lamented.
