The Oklahoma State softball game at Wichita State was postponed on Wednesday after the Cowgirls’ team bus was involved in a deadly accident on an interstate highway.
The bus hit and killed a pedestrian. who was on Interstate-35 in northern Oklahoma around 2:05 p.m., according to KOCO, citing sources.
There were also 911 callers who had reported a woman running in and out of traffic before the deadly collision took place, a source told KOC5.
Oklahoma State officials said in a statement posted on X that no one from the team’s traveling party was injured.
The crash closed the northbound lanes of I-35 for more than two hours.
The Cowgirls also said details on when the game will be rescheduled will be shared when they become available.
