Tucci Gang, assemble.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, acclaimed thespian, author and tastemaker Stanley Tucci will drop into New York City’s The Theater at Madison Square Garden to celebrate the release of his new food-based memoir “What I Ate In One Year (and related thoughts).”
He’ll be joined by special guest moderator (and his brother-in-law) John Krasinski — who you may know from “The Office” and “A Quiet Place” — at the one-night-only event.
According to a press release, the two will discuss Tucci’s daily food diary entries “ranging from the mouth-wateringly memorable, to the comfortingly domestic and the infuriatingly inedible.”
And, to whet your appetite even more, all attendees receive a copy of the “What I Ate In One Year (and related thoughts).”

About “What I Ate In One Year (and related thoughts)”
The press release for the food memoir reads:
Food has always been an integral part of Stanley Tucci’s life: from stracciatella soup served in the shadow of the Pantheon, to marinara sauce cooked between scene rehearsals and costume fittings, to home-made pizza eaten with his children before bedtime.
Now, in What I Ate in One Year Tucci records twelve months of eating—in restaurants, kitchens, film sets, press junkets, at home and abroad, with friends, with family, with strangers, and occasionally just by himself.
Ranging from the mouth-wateringly memorable to the comfortingly domestic and to the infuriatingly inedible, the meals memorialised in this diary are a prism for him to reflect on the ways his life, and his family, are constantly evolving. Through food he marks—and mourns—the passing of time, the loss of loved ones, and steels himself for what is to come.
Whether it’s duck a l’orange eaten with fellow actors and cooked by singing Carmelite nuns, steaks barbequed at a gathering with friends, or meatballs made by his mother and son and shared at the table with three generations of his family, these meals give shape and add emotional richness to his days.
What I Ate in One Year is a funny, poignant, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying serving of memories and meals and an irresistible celebration of the profound role that food plays in all our lives.

Stanley Tucci upcoming projects
On top of the book tour — Tucci also has two conversations in England lined up this fall — he’s also slated to appear in a pair of upcoming films. Here are their synopses, courtesy of IMDb:
“Conclave” follows Cardinal Lawrence, who is tasked with leading one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events, selecting a new Pope, where he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of The Church. Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini co-star.
“The Electric State” tells the story of an orphaned teenager traversing the American West with a sweet, but mysterious, robot, and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother. Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan and Patti Harrison topline the cast.
