A piss poor excuse.
Women are venting that men store water bottles at their bedside so they can urinate in them instead of getting up to use the bathroom.
The disgusting hack has become a viral conversation online where women are coming together and sharing stories about their partners who used the concept as a lazy excuse to stay horizontal.
Hannah Thear, 25, confessed that she thought it was customary for men to urinate in water bottles.
“I thought it was acceptable for him to piss in bottles ’cause he didn’t wanna get out of bed, and they used to sit there for days unless I emptied them,” she revealed in a TikTok clip.
Many women fired back that the mom’s unfortunate experience resonated with them.
“Why did I get a flashback to my ex then,” unveiled a watcher.
“There’s more men out there that do this?? My ex-partner did this,” groaned another.
However, some men admit to liking the plastic yet accessible urinals.
“Any other [men] keep an empty bottle next to the bed to save them going to the bathroom in the middle of the night?” questioned a TikTokker, who runs @ali_kingston_university online, in a clip.
A few bedside urinators admitted to the tactic and commented underneath the video with their takes.
“A piss bottle? I thought everyone did this. I’ve been doing it for 10+ years,” commented one man.
“I feel sorry for women they can’t do what we can,” joked another.
Meanwhile, Ryan Odom, who goes by @chickenman1992 on TikTok, discovered his grandfather’s urine stash and posted a clip online revealing where his old man hides the bottles in plain sight.
“[These are] his bottles here that he pees in [when] he’s too lazy to get up and go to the bathroom, so he just fills up Gatorade bottles,” Odom shared.
However, some men blame their urine habits on health conditions such as insomnia.
“When he has to get out of bed for any reason, it makes it almost impossible for him to get any sleep at all after that,” a Redditor, who goes by @paige_Riplan, revealed online.
The girlfriend caught her boyfriend urinating in an empty water bottle by their bedside while she was next to him.
“He has admitted he has been doing it for years because he can’t get himself out of bed when he is trying to sleep,” she said. “This was super gross, and I couldn’t believe he thought it was acceptable.”
Despite his condition, many Redditors agreed that the hack is filthy — and a real solution needs to be found.
“If he can’t get up and go to the bathroom without going into existential crisis paralysis, he needs to see a doctor,” a user suggested.
“Healthy people don’t piss in bottles at home. Period. He has some issues, and you are not the one to ‘fix him,’” commented a Redditor.
“Get up and piss in the toilet like a civilized person,” demanded another.
“My ex did this too but also next to his recliner where he played Call of Duty all night,” one person wrote. “It’s disgusting, and I will never deal with pee bottles again.”
