Donna Kelce admitted that she couldn’t reveal much about the wedding ceremony for her son, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift at the Garden on Friday, but all she needed was one adjective.
“I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical,” Donna said, while getting interviewed as part of the Macy’s 50th Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
Kelce and Swift took over the Garden on Friday for a star-studded ceremony filled with celebrities and security measures to protect their privacy, and at one point during the evening, the message “JUST&T MARRIED!” flashed on signs outside the venue to confirm the development.
Comedian and actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding.
There were Kelce’s Chiefs teammates, NFL players and broadcasters, family members, and plenty of other members of the music industry, too.
And it marked the culmination of a relationship that first started back in 2023, featured an engagement last August and included plenty of appearances for Swift at Chiefs games, too.
While in attendance, she’d occasionally appear near Donna in the suite, and in August, days before news of their engagement broke, she told People that, “I think his mind is settled. That’s about all I can tell you. I think he feels calm and he feels like he’s on a mission and he knows exactly what he wants.”
Then, less than a year later, one of the most high-profile weddings ever followed.
Swift and Kelce used the same designer — Christian Dior Haute Couture — for their wedding attire, and Jason Kelce served as his brother’s best man while Swift’s brother, Austin, served as her man of honor, according to Page Six.
Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, who were all invited to the ceremony, shared details during Saturday’s edition of “Good Morning America,” too.
“As intimate as it could possibly be, given it was Madison Square Garden and really this garden inside the Garden, just so beautiful,” Stephanopoulos told his co-hosts. “It’s hard to imagine a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and that intimate.”
