President Trump received a warm welcome while attending a college football game in Tennessee on Saturday.
The crowd in Knoxville roared when Trump was introduced as the University of Tennessee Volunteers squared off against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th President of the United States — Donald J. Trump,” the announcer said.
Trump gave a fist pump as the capacity crowd of just over 100,000 fans erupted into cheers.
The commander-in-chief sat between Tennessee Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty as he was projected onto the jumbotron.
Hagerty posted photos on X from the stadium box, adding: “Flew into Knoxville this morning with some friends to watch today’s big game. Thanks for the lift, @POTUS— Go Vols!”
Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett also thanked Trump for the ride, sharing a picture of himself in front of Air Force One.
Before the game, Air Force One wowed football fans with a majestic flyover above Neyland Stadium shortly before landing at 11:28 a.m.
Trump touched down a little over half an hour before the noon kickoff and arrived at the stadium at 11:59 a.m., according to a pool report.
The president was seated to watch the number one-ranked Longhorns, led by Arch Manning, try to keep their scorching hot start alive against the also undefeated Tennessee Vols.
