The King has gone Kitty.
Burger King is slinging a new kind of kids meal.
As of October 20, fans of the fast-food chain can go full-on cute AF collectible when they order a Hello Kitty and Friends King Jr. Kids’ Meal.
The new offering includes an entrée, side, and drink plus one of six exclusive Hello Kitty and Friends toys.
The hotly anticipated toy lineup includes Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, and a golden-colored Hello Kitty, all of whom don BK crowns.
The meal also brings the regal to the buyer, as each comes with a Hello Kitty-themed crown.
In terms of consumables, guests can choose from hamburger, cheeseburger, or chicken nuggets as their entrée; French fries, applesauce, or onion rings as a side; and milk, apple juice, lemonade, or a value-sized soft drink
On Instagram, food influencer @snackolator shared a toy lineup of the Hello Kitty BK collection, and users flocked to the comments section to exorcise their excitement.
“Need that gold Hello Kitty now,” wrote one.
“Oh, take all my money,” added another.
For funsies, and in line with the mystery collectible trend, the toys come not in clear plastic but in a surprise box that doesn’t reveal the character until you open it.
Because we live in a world that loves to murder mystery, one commenter revealed that each mystery box has a code that allegedly indicates the toy it contains.
For the die-hard collectors, codes are as follows:
1904Hello Kittyitty
19045C: gold Hello Kitty
19046My Melodyody
19046B: Keroppi
1904: Cinnamoroll
19045: Kuromiomi.
Burger King also revealed the meals on its Instagram page, captioning the post, “Someone special is joining the crew,” alongside a video of the acutely adorable toy lineup.
“I am 50, and I haven’t been this excited in a while,” hyped one commenter.
“I will not rest until I have Keroppi in my hand!!!!!,” declared another.
“I went to 3 different locations and got Cinnamoroll at each one. I’m irritated,” fumed a third.
Hello Kitty and Friends King Jr. Meals are at Burger King now, available in limited quantities while supplies last.
Get it while you can, folks.
This summer, Burger King’s US sales soared as customers embraced its revamped Whopper, reimagined with a “premium” bun, “better-tasting mayo,” and a box container instead of a paper wrapper to keep the burger from getting soggy.
As part of its turnaround strategy, Burger King has also introduced a new “Whopper Guarantee,” which remakes burgers and offers a free sandwich on the next order for dissatisfied customers, and “Your Way Champions,” a new managerial role focused on the customer experience.
After striking gold with its revamped Whopper, Burger King recently turned its attention to its much-maligned chicken nuggets, which customers have criticized as dry and flavorless.
New-and-improved nuggets have since landed on Burger King menus, along with a revamped sauce lineup including honey mustard, buffalo, sweet & sour, and a limited-time “special savory sauce.”
Burger King was founded in 1951 and operates more than 19,000 locations across more than 120 countries and US territories, most of which are owned and operated by independent franchisees.
