The burger has been an American favorite for quite some time, and they’re often a go-to during the summer season with barbecues heating up.
Restaurants across the country are celebrating the special day with deals and freebies that can’t be beat, and some deals have been running all month long.

Arby’s
Arby’s is taking a difference approach to National Burger Day. Starting Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31, fans can get a buy-one-get-one deal from sandwich favorites such as the Classic Roast Beef, Beef ’n Cheddar and Crispy Chicken sandwich. The offer can be redeemed through the Arby’s app.
Burger King
Burger King is celebrating National Hamburger Day by offering Royal Perks members a free hamburger with any $3+ purchase at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide. Plus, Royal Perks members who make a $10 purchase can unlock up to four months of Spotify Premium for free, available for new to Spotify Premium users only.
Dairy Queen
Dairy Queen is offering customers $1 off any of its signature Stackburgers all week to celebrate National Burger Day. The offer includes the FlameThrower Signature Stackburger, Bacon Cheese Deluxe Signature Stackburger, Cheese Deluxe Signature Stackburger, Backyard Bacon Ranch Signature Stackburger and Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger.
Del Taco
From May 28 through May 30, Del Taco is offering buy one, get one free Double Del Cheeseburgers.
Emmy Squared Pizza
In honor of National Hamburger Day on May 28, Emmy Squared Pizza is debuting a limited-run Chopped Cheese, available nationwide, which will be available for $5 all day. The take on the New York classic features grass-fed beef, American cheese, red onion and bell peppers, served on a Martin’s potato seed bun with ketchup and pickles.
Fat Ronnie’s Burger Bar
On National Burger Day, the newly opened location of Fat Ronnie’s Burger Bar, located at 303 6th Avenue at Carmine, will be giving away its signature item, “Fat Ronnie” burgers to the first 100 guests, starting at 5 p.m.
Hard Rock Cafe
Hard Rock Cafe is marking the foodie holiday with deals on their Classic Smashed Burger between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time. Guests can snag a BOGO Classic Smashed Burger, featuring two smashed patties stacked with shaved yellow onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and Legendary Sauce, all on a toasted artisan bun. Guests can get a free Jr. Jumbo Jack with any purchase of $1 or more on May 28 for National Burger Day. There’s also a limited-time Smashed Jack Sliders Munchie Meal for fans, which includes two sliders, two tacos, curly fries and a drink in a limited Surprise Cup, which comes with an entry for a chance to win a $75,000 grand prize.
Ruby Tuesday
On Thursday, May 28, Ruby Tuesday is offering guests their Single Patty American Smashed Burger with fries or tots, plus the Endless Garden Bar for just $8.99.

Wahlburgers has been celebrating National Burger Month all May with giveaways, and it all culminates on National Burger Day, May 28, with the ultimate prize of an exclusive lunch with Chef Paul Wahlberg himself at one of the three Wahlburgers locations in Massachusetts.
