Off Campus stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli had the perfect reaction to unfounded rumors they’ve been feuding.
“Belmont and I spend every day on set together,” Bright, 19, told E! News at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27. “We’re in the green room, and he’s on his phone scrolling. He’s like, ‘Ha! Remember when we did that?’ I was like, ‘That never happened.’”
She continued, “It’s so funny. So, we’re just laughing about it. That’s all you can do.”
Feud rumors began circulating after fans noticed Bright and Cameli, 28, seemingly archived photos of each other on Instagram. Bright, however, cleared the air on Sunday and revealed the reason for the disappearing images.
“I mean, god forbid I wanted an aesthetic Instagram,” Bright joked at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. “My bad. I’m so sorry!”
Cameli, for his part, had a similar reaction when he first learned of the speculation that he and Bright were feuding.
“When I first heard those — I mean, I laugh every time I hear them,” Cameli told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday. “It’s really entertaining and sometimes fascinating the conclusions people will jump to. … I’m happy to put ‘em to bed. I mean, Ella and I are extremely close.”
In Bright’s eyes, she and Cameli — as well as their costars — have a special bond.
“So much love,” she told E! News on Sunday. “That’s my family.”
Bright and Cameli star as love interests Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, respectively, in the hit Prime Video series Off Campus, based on books by author Elle Kennedy. While the pair took center stage in season 1, Bright and Cameli are passing the baton to Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn — who play Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis — for the upcoming second season.
Just days before the awards show on Sunday, Off Campus wrapped season 2, which Bright teased has been “really fun” to film with her costars.
“There’s some really great ensemble moments this year,” Bright told E! News on Sunday of the upcoming season. “Everyone’s obviously incredible, and it’s so fun to jump back into characters that we really know really well now versus season 1, where it’s still a bit new and scary.”
“It feels very comfortable, and it’s just been a blast,” she continued. “I’m really gonna miss them. I was really sad at the wrap party.”
