A Democrat insider who reportedly secretly wore an FBI wire to help take down Gavin Newsom’s chief of staff is now a liability for Xavier Becerra, the Democratic frontrunner to become California’s next governor. The California Post has learned Alexis Podesta, an informant in a sweeping public corruption case, is now the subject of multiple investigations by California’s political watchdog the Fair Political Practices Commission — including one involving one of Becerra’s political committees. Podesta, 45, is also being investigated over an allegation she failed to disclose more than $1 million in lobbying income. The investigations are raising new questions…

I’ve cooked professionally in enough private clients’ kitchens to know two things with certainty: (1) most people don’t hate cooking; they hate decision-making; and (2) nothing derails a healthy routine faster than coming home hungry with no plan, no groceries, no willpower. Meal delivery services solve both problems. They remove the cognitive load, which for many of us is half the battle, and the good ones turn into something you look forward to. Over the…

The Yellowstone cast has continued to find success after the hit Paramount Network show came to an end — with some even scoring spinoffs. Yellowstone, which ran from 2018 to 2024, became an overnight success for its story about the conflicts along the shared border of a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation and land developers. Kevin Costner was the initial draw as John Dutton, but soon viewers were tuning in for the show’s other leads — including Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Gil Birmingham, Cole Hauser and Kelsey Asbille. While Yellowstone was still releasing new episodes on Paramount…

The Flyers are making a bold swing for one of the best young players in hockey.  Philadelphia announced Friday that it tendered a five-year, $90 million offer sheet to Ducks center Leo Carlsson, putting Anaheim on the clock and risking four first-round picks in the process. The offer carries an $18 million average annual value, which would make Carlsson the highest-paid player in the NHL, topping Oilers star Leon Draisaitl’s $14 million AAV and even the Wild’s Kirill Kaprizov’s $17 million mark he’s set to make next season. But the draft-pick compensation may be the bigger part of the gamble.…

Cross-country flights could soon be cut in half after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) moved Thursday to scrap its 1973 ban on overland supersonic travel and replace it with new noise limits. The change could slash flights between Los Angeles and New York from about six hours to roughly three. Supersonic jets travel faster than Mach 1 — more than 770 mph — while today’s commercial airliners typically cruise between 550 and 600 mph. The FAA plans to propose separate takeoff and landing noise standards later this year, with the new rules expected to be finalized by mid-2027. FAA Administrator…
