Spencer Pratt offered up heartfelt detail from his visit to President Donald Trump’s Oval Office — sharing what it meant to bring his son, Gunner, along with him.
The reality television star and former Los Angeles mayoral candidate posted a picture of Gunner, 8, posing in front of the president’s empty desk with arms rested on two chairs. Gunner, in a dress shirt and suit and black pants sported a big grin.
The former candidate said his passion for helping the country is the same as loving his child.
“You must love your country the way you love your child. Unconditional love,” Pratt posted. “You make sure they play by the rules.”
“But no matter what, you love them with your whole heart, you wake up every day thinking about how to be of service to them, and you would die to protect them,” Pratt added.
Pratt posted his visit with Trump soon after announcing his first post-election initiative: the WAR Foundation, which he said would use “hard-hitting media, investigative research, educational campaigns, and strategic partnerships in government and media” to promote its message.
His new foundation was officially filed with the California Secretary of Stare on June 24 by his campaign staffers Gabriel Mann and Briana Bilbray.
Pratt described it as an effort to employ “innovative media” to “advocate for transparency, accountability, and integrity in government and culture.”
“Our biggest weakness today is the lack of courage in leadership and culture; everyone wants common sense, but everyone is too afraid to demand it,” he wrote.
The former candidate had ran a viral campaign for Los Angeles mayor over the past year after his home in the Palisades burned down from the devastating wildfires. His campaign attracted nationwide attention from conservatives and pundits for its use and sharing of catchy ads, including some generated by AI.
Pratt ended up losing out in the June primary, finishing third behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and city councilmember Nithya Raman.
Trump, however, seems to be like Pratt and had even urged him to dispute the June primary loss.
It’s unclear what was discussed in Pratt’s meeting with the president, and The Post had reached out to those involved for comment.
Pratt is married to another reality TV personality Heidi Montag and has two sons with her.
